Shahid Afridi scored 49 runs in 19 balls and took 2 wickets against Bangladesh to grab his 11th man of the match in T20 cricket which improves his world record for most man of the match awards in T20 cricket while he also came 2nd in T20 world cup record by taking 4th man of the match in world cup.
His strike rate of 257.89 during the innings was the 2nd best for an inning of 19 or more balls while it is the 8th best strike rate with innings of 15 or more balls. After Umar Akmal, he also became the only other Pakistani batsman to score 500 runs in world T20.
Afridi also became the foreign player to hit most sixes in the matches played in India with 40 sixes. With 39 sixes, de Villiers is at 2nd position while both have played same number of matches (37) in India.
