During a visit to Jinnah Hospital, nation T20 team captain Shahid Afridi donated Rs. 2 million for the hospital and also showed his concern on the condition of hospital and patients. He said the absence of basic facilities for the patients is really sad while government is also not performing its role. On the invitation of an NGO, he was visiting the ward of patients suffering from food poisoning.
He showed his surprise that even the basic facilities in Jinnah Hospital are not provided to the patients while providing better medical facilities to the poor patients is service to humanity. He said the problems faced by the patients in the hospital are very disturbing. It is basic right of every citizen to get medical facilities.
He said the government should play its role in providing special support, which is required by the hospital. Good medical facilities should also be provided by prosperous people and organizations. Before that, Shahid Afridi also met and distributed gifts to the patients of the ward. For recovery of patients and betterment of the ward, Shahid Afridi also donated Rs. 2 million to the foundation of his own name.
