Pakistani cricket team captain Misbah-ul-Haq became the only player in one day matches to score 5000 runs without making a century.
Misbah scored 5000 runs after scoring 56 runs in a match played in New Zealand’s ground Eden Park, Auckland. Misbah achieved this target in 147 innings with average of 43.87 and strike rate of 73.87. Misbah is the 32nd fastest of the world and 4th fastest of Pakistan to achieve this target. Saeed Anwar and M Yousuf achieved this milestone in 138 innings while Javed Miandad got 5000 runs in 139 innings.
Misbah-ul-Haq is the only player of the world to score 42 half centuries without scoring any score 100 or above.
